The Faculty of Engineering, Menoufia University is committed to supporting the vision of the Egyptian government and the national strategy of higher education focusing on sustainable development. Applied research dominated by innovation and creativity is supported to establish technical solutions to current and future grand challenges. For this purpose, the faculty has organized a biennial scientific conference during the last thirty years to present and discuss research work devoted to development issues.
As the world is facing common problems related to water scarcity, climatic changes, decreasing natural resources, and increased energy costs, the conference organizing committee calls for an international gathering to address these issues. The International Conference of Sustainable Environmental Development (ICSED) held in 2026, Egypt, is the 6th international edition of the faculty conference.
The conference calls for papers in different engineering disciplines including: electric, mechanical, civil, architecture, industrial, and mechatronics engineering. Also, papers in engineering sciences including applied chemistry and physics, nanotechnology, and smart materials are welcomed.
The 6th conference edition is to be held in a coastal city, and more details are to be announced soon. The conference agenda includes a social program and outdoor activities.
